It started on a metro ride in LA — just me, a weirdly emotional idea, and a 9-to-5 I couldn’t un-hate. I told my family. They nodded supportively (bless them), but I could tell they were thinking:“Clothes? Feelings? Strangers sharing stories? You sure??”

I wasn’t sure. At all. But I quit my job anyway and moved back to India.There were a lot of meetings. Some people got it. Others told me to stop wasting my money and… maybe grow up? I kept a straight face. Then cried in my car. A lot.

But slowly, I found the right people. The kind who believed in the why, not just the what. We made mistakes, learned everything the hard way, and pretty much lived inside the factory. (Shoutout to the master tailor who yelled at me like a strict uncle — love-hate forever)

In May 2018, with help from my friends and family, we launched. And somehow — strangers showed up. People shared their stories. People got it.Those two launch days? I’ll never forget them. Ever. And the six years since? Highs that made me dizzy, lows that knocked me out cold. No business degree. No backup plan. Just this wild, emotional, messy, meaningful thing that keeps growing with me.
